Digital Media Program Receives $220,000 Grant from the Louisiana Board of Regents

The historic Prytania Theatre in uptown New Orleans provided the perfect setting for 12 seniors in Tulane's Digital Media Production program to see their names in lights. On May 12, the short films the students had created in a yearlong advanced filmmaking capstone course made their big-screen debut in the lovingly restored classic theatre.

Phi Beta Kappa:
Susann S. Lusnia

Phi Beta KappaFounded in 1776, Phi Beta Kappa is the nation's oldest and most prestigious honorary society. Tulane's Alpha chapter of ΦBK was founded 107 years ago. At the end of each academic year, the chapter offers membership to a select number of graduating seniors.

Three SLA Faculty Members Honored at Commencement

This year's recipients of the Suzanne and Stephen Weiss Presidential Fellowships are Michael P. Kuczynski, associate professor and chair of the Department of English, and Toni Weiss, the Lawrence M.v.D. Schloss Professor of Practice in the Department of Economics. A President's Award for Graduate and Professional Teaching went to Anthropology Professor, William Balée.
